    FAQ

Everything a professional needs to know about our telescopic ladders: choice, safety, delivery and after-sales support.

    Choosing your ladder

1What ladder height should I choose?
Take your target working height and add about 1 m (your outstretched reach). To work at 4 m, aim for a ladder of around 5 m. If in doubt, use our quiz or drop us a line: we'll point you to the right model.
2What is the real working height of a telescopic ladder?
Allow for the extended height + about 1 m of outstretched reach. A 3.80 m ladder, for example, lets you work comfortably at around 4.80 m — enough to reach a gutter, a high ceiling or a first floor without straining. The exact height is shown on each product page.
3Will the ladder fit in the boot of a small vehicle (Berlingo, Kangoo…)?
Yes. Folded down, our ladders are very compact (often 70 to 90 cm): they slip into the boot of a Berlingo, a Kangoo or behind the seats of a van, with no roof rack. The exact folded height is shown on each product page.

    Safety & use

4Does the ladder flex when extended to its maximum?
Yes, very slightly — and that's a benefit. Extended to its maximum, the aluminium moves with you rather than springing back sharply: the climb is smoother and safer. Nothing like the excessive springiness of some budget telescopic ladders: the flex stays minimal and controlled, even loaded up to 150 kg.
5Is there any risk of trapping your fingers when folding it down?
No. Folding down is slowed rung by rung thanks to the Soft-Close system: the sections come down gently, never with a sharp drop. Your fingers stay clear of the pinch points.
6Can the ladder be opened partially, without extending the full height?
Yes. You extend and lock rung by rung, to the exact height you need. No need to open it fully to change a bulb or clean a low gutter.
7Could the telescopic mechanism seize up with site dust?
No. The tubes slide with a calibrated clearance and a surface treatment that limits dust build-up. An occasional wipe with a dry cloth and storage away from damp are enough to keep it sliding freely, season after season.
8Does the top let you lean it against a wall without damaging it?
Yes. The top is fitted with end caps that rest against the surface without scratching or marking it, and the width of the stiles spreads the pressure. Ideal for not leaving marks on a light-coloured wall or fresh paint.

    Combination models (step ladder)

9Can the ladder be used in step ladder mode on uneven ground or on stairs?
On our combination models, yes: the central hinge turns them into a free-standing step ladder. The wide non-slip feet absorb small differences in level; on stairs, set each leg to a different height to keep a stable footing.
10How can I make sure the central hinge is properly locked?
A clear “click” is heard when the hinge locks and the latches snap into the closed position. Before every climb, check visually that both latches are properly engaged: it's the safety habit to get into.
11Is the ground stabiliser bar essential in step ladder mode?
It is strongly recommended: it widens the footprint on the ground and markedly increases side-to-side stability. On soft ground or when working at height, always fit it.

    Standards & guarantee

12Are your ladders EN 131 certified?
Yes. All our ladders meet the EN 131 standard (professional use) and support a load of up to 150 kg. Rung-by-rung locking, wide stiles and non-slip feet: they're built to take a daily working pace on site, not just occasional DIY.
    13How long is the guarantee?
Every ladder comes with a 2-year guarantee and is supported by UK-based after-sales support. The guarantee covers manufacturing defects and any part that fails under normal use.

    Ordering, delivery & after-sales support

    14What are the delivery times?
Dispatched the next day after your order, with free delivery by tracked courier in 2 to 5 working days across the UK, with tracking from dispatch through to delivery.
15If something breaks or goes wrong on site, how does after-sales support work?
You're covered. In the event of breakage, abnormal play or a part failing under normal use, send us a photo: we'll reply within 24 working hours and arrange the repair or replacement, with no complicated returns. No overseas middleman: a direct UK-based point of contact.
16Can I return my ladder if it isn't right for me?
Yes. You get a 30-day money-back guarantee. If the model isn't right for your needs, get in touch and we'll arrange the return.
17How do I get an invoice for my accounts?
No complicated paperwork. A detailed invoice is available for every order: emailed to you and accessible from your account. Need your company's registered name and VAT number to appear on it? Let us know at checkout or drop us a line.
