    The hook is a game-changer

Bought the 4.4m specifically for loft work. The hook keeps it locked to the hatch frame so it doesn't slide — something my old ladder never managed. Solid build, very stable at full extension.

    James R. · 14 June 2026
Exactly what I needed on site

Used it across three jobs already. Folds down tiny, fits in the van no problem. The hook attachment is well-made and doesn't rattle at all. EN 131 certified so it ticks every box for professional use.

    Craig M. · 2 June 2026
    Fast delivery, brilliant product

Arrived next day, packaged really well. Set it up in minutes — the locking mechanism clicks firmly on every rung. The hook is a nice bonus for working near gutters and eaves. Very impressed.

    Sarah T. · 19 May 2026
    Great ladder for the money

Was sceptical about telescopic ladders but this has converted me. Lightweight enough to carry single-handed, yet rock solid at 4.4m. The hook saved me a lot of hassle on a recent roofline job. Would buy again.

    02Description

The frame is silver aluminium throughout — wide-gauge stiles, flat anti-slip rungs, black reinforced collars locking each section in place. A red and black nylon strap holds the folded stack together at the centre. At the top, two black rubber-tipped hooks are fixed directly into the stiles: a detail that separates site equipment from consumer-grade hardware.

The safety pictograms on the lower stiles and the broad rubber feet at the base are not decorative. They signal a ladder built to EN 131 standards, where each rung locks positively before the next can be extended. The mechanism is deliberate — slow enough to control, fast enough not to slow down a working day.

Against a wall or roof fascia, this telescopic ladder reaches a working height above 5.5 metres from a 4.4m extended length. Folded to roughly 85 cm, it sits upright in a corner or slides flat into a van. For anyone moving between jobs, that compact footprint is the point.

4.4m aluminium telescopic ladder with hook attachment and EN 131 certification

The silver finish comes in six heights: 2m, 3m, 4m, 4.4m, 5m and 6m. The black version is available in 3.2m, 3.8m, 5m and 6m. Each format folds to a different packed length — worth checking before committing to a height.

The black finish works well in settings where the ladder is visible between uses: a fitted workshop, a converted unit, a client-facing space. Silver is the more practical choice on active sites where cleaning it down and reading the safety markings quickly are day-to-day requirements.

Working height is the starting point, but it rarely tells the whole story. Transport constraints, surface type and how often the ladder moves between locations all affect which format makes sense. A 6m ladder that doesn't fit the vehicle is no use to anyone.

The full range of heights and finishes is listed in the telescopic ladder collection. For feet, carry straps or standoff brackets, the ladder accessories section covers the common add-ons.

Telescopic extension ladder for loft access, roofline work and confined spaces

The hooks at the top of this telescopic ladder make a practical difference in situations where leaning against a surface is not enough — a rafter, a loft hatch frame or a steel mezzanine beam gives a fixed hang point that keeps the ladder in place without a second person holding it.

On hard, level ground outdoors, the rubber feet grip without slipping. On gravel, composite decking or uneven paving, a base plate is the right call — nothing specific to this model, just the physics of a single-lean ladder on soft ground.

Packed weight sits in the 7 to 10 kg range for this rung count, which is manageable for one person. The strap keeps everything tight in transit. A telescopic extension ladder at this size does not pretend to be ultralight — it trades grams for the kind of rigidity that matters when you are five metres up.

    About us

At ReachMaster, we have one specialty: the telescopic ladder. Not ten ranges, no compromise — expertise mastered from end to end.

Our brand was born on the job site, not in an office. After seeing ladders seize up mid-day and waste valuable time for tradespeople, we decided to put an end to the old trade-off: sturdy but bulky, or handy but flimsy.

Today, every ladder is checked before dispatch, backed by a 2-year guarantee and supported by UK-based after-sales support. Kit built to last, at a fair price.

    Frequently asked questions

Everything a professional needs to know before ordering.

Will the ladder fit in the boot of a small vehicle (Berlingo, Kangoo…)?
Yes, no problem. Folded down, it measures just a very compact size: it slips into the boot of a Berlingo, a Kangoo or behind the seats of a compact van, with no roof rack.
What is the real working height with this model?
Extended, it reaches 4.4 m. Allowing for your outstretched reach, you can work comfortably up to about 5.4 m — enough to reach a gutter, a high ceiling or a first floor without straining.
Could the telescopic mechanism seize up with site dust?
No. The tubes slide with a calibrated clearance and a surface treatment that limits dust build-up. An occasional wipe with a dry cloth and storage away from damp are enough to keep it sliding freely, season after season — no more sections stuck half-way.
Does the ladder flex when extended to its maximum?
Yes, very slightly — and that's a benefit. Extended to its maximum (as in our real-world test video), it shows minimal, controlled flex: the aluminium moves with you rather than springing back sharply, which makes the climb smoother and safer. Nothing like the excessive springiness of some budget telescopic ladders: here the flex stays contained, even loaded up to 150 kg. You climb with confidence, right to the top rung.
    See it in use
Is there any risk of trapping your fingers when folding it down?
No. Folding down is slowed rung by rung thanks to the Soft-Close system: the sections come down gently, never with a sharp drop. Your fingers stay clear of the pinch points, even when folding quickly between jobs.
Can it be opened partially if I don't need the full height?
Yes. You extend and lock rung by rung, to the exact height you need. No need to open it fully to change a bulb, reach a shelf or clean a low gutter.
Does the top let you lean it against a wall without damaging it?
Yes. The top is fitted with end caps that rest against the surface without scratching or marking it, and the width of the stiles spreads the pressure. Ideal for not leaving marks on a light-coloured wall or fresh paint.
Is the ladder certified for daily professional use?
Yes. It meets the EN 131 standard (professional use) and supports a load of up to 150 kg. Rung-by-rung locking, wide stiles and non-slip feet: it's built to take a daily working pace on site, not just occasional DIY.
If something breaks or goes wrong on site, how does after-sales support work?
You're covered. Every ladder comes with a 2-year guarantee and is supported by UK-based after-sales support. In the event of breakage, abnormal play or a part failing under normal use, send us a photo: we'll reply within 24 working hours and arrange the repair or replacement, with no complicated returns. No overseas middleman: a direct point of contact who knows the product.
How do I get an invoice for my accounts?
No complicated paperwork. A detailed invoice is available for every order: it's emailed to you and remains accessible from your account. Need your company's registered name and VAT number to appear on it? Let us know at checkout or drop us a line, and we'll issue an invoice suited to your accounts.

    Sturdy and reassuring

Arrived well packaged, genuinely tough. The aluminium doesn't flex an inch, even right at the top. No play in the rungs after weeks of daily use.

    Perfect for my van

Folded down it takes up no space, I slide it behind the seats. Extended, it's rock-solid. The anti-pinch system is a real plus.

Top quality, delivery a little slow

Delivery took 2-3 days longer than expected, but the quality really is there. Ultra-sturdy ladder, spotless finish. I'd recommend it despite the slight wait.

    Excellent, just the delivery

Light to carry but tough once extended. The only downside, a few extra days' wait. But the quality more than makes up for it, no regrets.

    Sturdier than the high street

No comparison with the high-street ladder I had before. The rungs are wide, you're perfectly stable. I'd recommend it 100%.

Good product, delivery could be better

I'm giving 3 stars mainly for the delivery, which dragged on for a week. Otherwise the ladder is excellent, nothing to say on quality, it's top-notch.
